Custom Kits For New Cycling Clubs: How to Get a Cost-Effective Small Order

If you're in the process of setting up a cycling club, then you're likely to start small. You probably don't have many members yet, even though you plan on growing the club as you go along.

You want to design and order custom cycling kits for your members; however, you're all a bit worried about how much this will cost. You know that ordering a few kits can be more expensive than ordering in bulk; you worry that you won't find a supplier that will produce just a few kits at a time.

Rather than wait until you get more members on board, there are ways to order a few custom cycling kits. How can you do this?

Look For Low Minimum Order Rates

Some custom cycling companies have minimum order rates that dictate how many kits you have to buy at once. For example, a company may require you to order at least 10 kits at a time.

However, some companies appreciate that some cyclists only want to order one or a few kits. To stay competitive, they have lower order minimums. Some don't set any minimums at all. You can just order one kit if you want.

So when you're looking at custom kit companies, check out if they have order minimums. If you can find a company without a minimum or one with a limit you can meet, then you're good to go.

Look to Meet Minimum Rates

In some cases, you may not be able to find a company with the minimum order requirements you want. For example, you might be keen to use a certain company because they offer kits, accessories or features that tick all your boxes. However, they have a slightly higher order rate than you need.

In this case, it's worth considering whether you can meet the minimum. If you wouldn't need to order a lot more kits to do this, then you could take more than you need. Extra kits could be used as spares or kept for new members as they join.

Bear in mind that the cost of ordering kits often reduces on a per-kit volume basis. So, for example, some companies charge you a lower price for each kit if you order a certain number at a time. While you'll order more kits than you need right now, you could make cost savings that compensate.

To find out more about minimum order rates and how to get the best deal for your club's members, talk to custom cycling kit suppliers.
